In Autumn 2010 we had a chance to record on an old reel to reel tape, we didn't have many new songs to record at the time, so recorded some old favourites. Invasion was on our previous release, Leper Skin and Velvet Creep were Side-Show Sirens standards and Sonics' Witch went back to Sirens era as well. Chicken Geek Stomp was the only new track on the EP.

It's a distinct album sounding album due to the production and the fact Chelsea was still in the band at the time so there is some keyboards in the songs. It marked the end of the garage years as the Wives moved into a heavier more alternative sound with the next release "...are the reason you can't have nice things" (available on Must Die Records page).....This session was a swan song to an era in the band, but it never saw the light of day

In between recording and producing it our producer Kev's kid was born so it went on the permanent back burner, it was considered a lost recording until one day in 2019 Kev surprised us finished mixes on the EP.... 9 years in the making. It was the first time that any of us had heard any of these songs

A music video for Leper Skin by our friend Jester was released in 2010 showing the recording of the EP, But the other tracks have only just surfaced

Out of all our releases this is the most enduring, we still play the Witch and Invasion and have recently brought Leper Skin back.
